My First Bow Hunt

It was opening day of deer season in 1989 (I think). I had been deer hunting with a gun for the four previous seasons and wanted a new challenge. What little I knew about deer hunting then, I learned from my very little knowledgeable buddies and Field and Stream Magazine. So, about two months before hunting season I bought myself a used compound bow. I think the name of it was a Hoyt or something like that. I got myself a dozen arrows and began shooting. After a little internet searching, reading, and checking up on this stuff I found it’s a pretty well established product in Canada and hails from Quebec where they have this funny habit of speaking a lot of French. Thus the name, Jig-A-Loo, and the company’s claim it derives from a saying they have up north, “I’ve got it!”
